Paramore is a band close to my heart for many reasons over the years. Their most recent album, “After Laughter”, is definitely one of my all-time favorites. The album is a beautiful  paradox in its own, as it matches melancholic lyrics to an upbeat sound. With Hayley Williams’ vocals and the band’s experimental sound, each track is really worth listening to more than once.”

01. HARD TIMES

Title track Hard Times is all about getting through your struggles with a smile, and knowing its okay to struggle sometimes. It’s the real definition of “dance your problems away”. Listen to the full song here. Hard Times by Paramore

02. ROSE COLORED BOY

My personal favorite. Rose Colored Boy is one of the singles on the album that talks about letting people know you can’t be optimistic all the way. It speaks on how not everyone can view the world with rose colored lenses. Listen to the full song here. Rose Colored Boy by Paramore

03. TOLD YOU SO

Told You So is another upbeat album single. It’s directed to people who like to point out your flaws. In the end, it backfires and you get to say “I told you so.” Listen to the full song here. Told You So by Paramore

04. FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is another album single. It’s one of the mellow songs on the album. It’s for people whom you’ve had bad blood with in the past. Forgiving is not forgetting. Listen to the full song here. Forgiveness by Paramore

05. FAKE HAPPY

Fake Happy  is another album single. It has an upbeat sound, but the lyrics are borderline about depression. It’s saying that we’re all just putting up a smile to hide our pains. Listen to the song here. Fake Happy by Paramore.

06. 26

26  is probably the most mellow song on the album since it features an acoustic sound.  The lyrics talk about the people who’ve let you down in your life one way or another. 26 also happens to the Hayley Williams’ age. Listen to the song here. 26 by Paramore

07. POOL

Pool  is another one of my favorite tracks. It has a chill vibe to it, perfect to listen to in any mood. It’s about diving back into things and people who are worth it, or in cliche terms, “giving them a second chance”. Listen to the song here. Pool by Paramore

08. GRUDGES

Grudges  is an upbeat song, perfect to dance to. It’s also one of my favorite ones to sing along to. It talks about letting go of anger and hurt others have caused you so you can move on with your life happily Listen to the song here. Grudges by Paramore

09. CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE

Grudges  is an album single, that is one of my go-to songs when I need a mood booster.  I’ve never related to a song as much as I did with this one, since the lyrics are about being at crossroads in your life and not knowing what to do. Listen to the song here. Caught in the Middle by Paramore

10. IDLE WORSHIP

Idle Worship  goes back to Paramore’s punk rock roots. It’s lyrics tellin off people who like put others on a pedestal. It tells them that “hey, I’m tired and maybe I don’t want to be on my A-game all the time.” Listen to the song here. Idle Worship by Paramore

11. NO FRIEND

No Friend is a 3-minute instrumental that many say is a sequel to Idle Worship and a prequel to Tell me How. It features synthetic pop sounds through the band’s instruments. Listen to the song here.No Friend by Paramore

12. TELL ME HOW
